Key Features:
- Triple-Sensor Detection: Combines a high-end reed switch for opening detection with a sensitive accelerometer that registers shock, vibration, and tilt. The tilt sensor's activation threshold is adjustable from 5° to 25°.
- Jeweller Wireless Technology: Employs Ajax's proprietary Jeweller radio technology for secure, encrypted two-way communication with the hub at a distance of up to 1,200 meters in open space. It features frequency hopping to prevent jamming and ensure reliable alarm delivery.
- Adjustable Sensitivity: The shock sensor has three adjustable sensitivity levels, allowing you to fine-tune the detector to your specific environment and prevent false alarms.
- External Detector Input: Includes a terminal for connecting a third-party wired detector with a normally closed (NC) contact type, expanding your security system's capabilities.
- Long Battery Life: Operates for up to 5 years on the pre-installed CR123A battery, minimizing maintenance. The system will notify you well in advance when the battery needs replacing.
- Effortless Installation: Ready to work straight out of the box. The SmartBracket mount allows for quick, easy installation without disassembling the detector's body. Connecting to an Ajax hub is as simple as scanning a QR code with the app.
How It Works
The DoorProtect Plus consists of two parts: the detector and a magnet. The opening is detected by a British-made reed switch when the magnet moves away from the sensor. Simultaneously, the integrated accelerometer stands guard against forced entry attempts by detecting vibrations and impacts, or if an intruder tries to open a window that is tilted for ventilation. In case of any event, an alarm signal is sent to the Ajax hub in just 0.15 seconds.
