My Friend NickiI met Nicki Ramos in the early 1960s. Her husband was a member of the Coachella Police Department as was Wayne, my husband. She attended the same Catholic Church, Our Lady of Soledad, and lived in the same desert City of Coachella, California. In time we became friends. Through raising our children took priority, we were both able to participate in multiple ministries at our church and shared numerous hours throughout the years in service to our faith

Through raising our children took priority, we were both able to participate in multiple ministries at our church and shared numerous hours throughout the years in service to our faith community. Wayne and I are god-parents for her granddaughter, Josephina.
I realized Nicki was a woman of strong faith as she raised her four children, Estella, Jerry, Monica and Raquel. Following in her footsteps, all three daughters eventually volunteered to also serve in church ministry.
Nicki did not let her divorce or the tragic death of her oldest daughter, Estella, keep her from faithfully serving her God.
