In his most ambitious artistic undertaking yet, respected British flautist, composer and educator Gareth Lockrane brings his debut big band project to Whirlwind to interpret eleven original works on an exciting, cinematic scale in 'Fistfight at the Barndance'.Known for his considerable work with smaller ensembles such as Grooveyard (with saxophonist Alex Garnett), as well as being a familiar sideman on the UK scene, here Lockrane distils all of his experience into leading a 20-piece which sparkles with ebullient expression. The album title is a tribute to Lockrane's late father, whose 6/8 blues harp riff of the same name (in which he jocularly envisaged the implosion of a convivial barndance) is the basis for the call-and-response between flute and brass at the centre of the title track's bustling maelstrom. Fit great, good price, and fast shipping for a last minute NYE dinner
Let me start by saying that I had very low expectations, all I truly cared about was getting something “blingy” as fast as possible for a last minute New Years Eve dinner. I was impressed by the speed of arrival, price & floored by the quality. Now of course, this is NOT a tailored $300 jacket, but it was great for our evening. Did not shed any sequins, no problems with wrinkles, and didn’t have any weird smells. My husband said it was comfortable, and he plans to wear it again should the need arise.

Not what I ordered!

I ordered this jacket for my boyfriend for New Years. Not only did it not fit according to the size chart (too small). It was nothing like what was pictured on the listing. The sequins were very light and cheaply sewn on. And the lining and button were WHITE! Not black as pictured. I have never had a problem with anything I ordered from Amazon until now. I returned it and was refunded. But, now have to find a different jacket. NOT HAPPY.
