Information about the artist: Simon was born in Lancashire, Northern England. He was raised in Royston a small mining village in South Yorkshire. He studied Fine Art for many years specializing in Painting and Sculpture. He is an influential photographer producing advertising for a wide range of high level clients including :Chanel, Dior, Nike, Reebok, Speedo, Adidas, Nokia, Hastens, Marriott, Mont Blanc, Falke. Since his debut exhibition in Miami Basel in 2008 Simon has become one of the most collectable photographers of his generation. His artwork is held in prestigious collections and museums worldwide. In 2015 Simon founded Orcadia Film, a cinema production company. Simon lives between Paris, New York and a farmhouse in northern France.
Information about the artwork: The Grand Palais transformed into a snow-capped chalets of an Alpine ski resort. It was the last show designed by Karl, he passed away 2 weeks before the show.There was minute of silence that ended suddenly with his voice filling the vast space.At the end of the show, some were crying, others were cheering, and all were up in a standing ovation.
