2014 album from the British rockers. Out of the ashes of a hard living, touring Brit art rock band stumbled Rosco Levee, founder of the southern slide. Taking advice from friend and contemporary Pete Molinari with whom he performed frequently, he travelled as a soloist and guitar slinger for hire, all the while realizing that he wanted to make the kind of music he heard in his head and wanted to hear out in the world. It can best be summed up as an album of good hard rock 'n' roll for today's ears, with a touch of modern blues, in a Woodstock meets the raconteurs kind of way. Recorded straight to tape, the big sounds on this album show where the southern slide sit and what they do best. Roscos influences are hints of Delaney Bramlett, Derek and the Dominoes, the rolling stones, the black crows and the Allman bros and yet he has a style of his own.

Love the sheets but GOSH THEY STINK

I have the dark green sheets and bought these for extra cases to match. I would give them 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact that they smell absolutely horrible. I am so surprised after reading reviews that more people don’t mention it?! Maybe it’s more prominent in darker colors but I have washed these now 3 different times even with scent beads and still hate the smell. I wish I could accurately describe what it smells like— it’s just not good and for some reason, body heat only exacerbates it and makes the smell even worse and I wake up feeling like a smell like the sheets… which isn’t a good thing.
Besides that, I do really enjoy them. They feel great on your skin and I love the color. I wish the smell didn’t kill them so badly for me ☹️

Comfy soft pillow covers

These Bamboo Pillowcases Made Me Realize I Sleep Hot

I bought these mostly because I kept hearing people talk about bamboo pillowcases and honestly thought it sounded a little overhyped, but I totally get it now. The first thing I noticed was how cool they felt compared to regular cotton. I tend to get warm when I sleep and flip my pillow a million times during the night looking for the cold side, and these actually stay noticeably cooler longer.
They also feel really soft without having that weird slippery texture some silky pillowcases have. My skin has been less irritated lately and my hair definitely looks less frizzy in the mornings. I have thick hair that tangles easily overnight, and these have helped more than I expected.
Another thing I appreciate is that they’ve washed well so far. I was worried they’d pill or lose softness after a wash cycle, but they still feel smooth and nice. They also just make the bed feel cleaner and more comfortable overall. One of those small upgrades that ends up making a bigger difference than you’d think.
