Souffle Continu Records present the first ever reissue of Workshop de Lyon's La Chasse de Shirah Sharibad, originally released in 1975. In France, in the years 1960-1970, musicians pondered over how to transpose the political struggle of free jazz onto a completely different political terrain. One of the first to do so was pianist François Tusques (agitator, theorist and militant) who recorded 1965's Free Jazz (CACK 020LP), and then continued with Le Nouveau Jazz (1967), French equivalents to the American "New Thing". The word spread, and was picked up by the Free Jazz Workshop which became the Workshop de Lyon in 1975 with the arrival of clarinetist-saxophonist Louis Sclavis. Still a source of joy, this lyrically feverish second album maintains a narrative dimension however subtle the textures developed through the contrasting collective improvisations. With their ever-inventive melodicism, the Workshop de Lyon invented an imaginary folklore on this album which is unlike any other. It is a knowing mix of the avant-garde and the traditional, collective playing vying, with panache and complexity, with the inspired urgency of the soloists. Even without filmed images the theatricality and humor of the group's live performances, essential components of their identity can be felt during the long thematic suites which are both expressive and full of joy. My everyday, everywhere laptop bag

This is hands-down my favorite laptop bag. It’s exactly as pictured. I use it daily and it has traveled all over the world with me. After a full year of hard, everyday use, it’s still holding up beautifully with no signs of wear.
It holds a lot without feeling bulky. I’m able to carry my laptop along with content creation tools, marketing materials, chargers, and extras with ease. The two external pockets are incredibly helpful for quick-access items, and the two side drink pockets get used constantly—I often stash an umbrella or spare battery packs in them.
One feature I really appreciate when traveling is the snap closure at the top. It’s a small detail, but it adds peace of mind when I’m moving through airports or traveling abroad and want an extra layer of security.
It’s also surprisingly versatile style-wise. I carry it with casual outfits and professional attire, and it works with both. Trendy, practical, and thoughtfully designed.
If you’re on the fence, get the bag. It’s well worth the cost in all categories. It’s reliable, well made, and clearly designed for real daily use.

Stylish and Functional, But with a Minor Quirk

I really love this PU leather backpack purse! It’s a perfect mix of style and practicality, but there’s one small design issue that keeps it from being perfect.

Stylish laptop backpack

Chic backpack that holds a suprising amount of stuff. I needed a nice looking backpack for my laptop (Macbook Air 13") and accessories. It's sleek looking for work conferences and the top handles allow you to hold like a purse. I know some reviewers don't like the look, but for me, I like this feature. I have the black one and it has a nice quilted leather look. The straps have good padding and I was comfortable traveling all day. Even after walking several blocks in the rain there was no damage and everything inside stayed dry. The zipper and hardware are a good quality.

Perfect lightweight computer bag!

Awesome lightweight bag. Very cute. Seems durable and well-made at a very good price. Has a ton of well placed pockets that keep me organized. I purchased this as a replacement for a much heavier, computer bag and this absolutely does the trick. It looked a little small when I received it, but it holds everything that I need and more. I have a 15.6 inch laptop. I highly recommend.
